Reggae on
the Creek
Backyard energy, big reggae sound and a crowd that felt more like a community than an audience.

Under the trees along Putah Creek, Reggae on the Creek brought national names, California reggae, families, longtime fans and a distinctly local spirit together for one long Saturday in Winters.
Reggae on the Creek has grown from a homegrown gathering into a recurring Northern California reggae festival, but the appeal still feels intimate: music close enough to feel, shade from the trees, people moving between the stage and the creekside grounds, and a crowd that never feels separated from the experience.
The 2026 edition at Green River Brewing & Taproom was headlined by Fortunate Youth and Marlon Asher, with Pipe Down, ANORA and One Sharp Mind on the bill. The day also featured selectors Squarefield Massive and JayTwo, with Ras Rebel emceeing.

Built for the music.
Behind a festival that feels effortless is a production crew making hundreds of details work at once. Fieldwork Sound & Lighting brought a professional, composed presence to the day. From the stage sound to the lighting and the pace of changeovers, the production supported the performers without becoming the story itself—which is exactly what good live production should do.
When the production disappears into the experience, the music and the people get to take over.

Fieldwork kept the stage feeling polished while the festival itself stayed relaxed and human.
More than a lineup.
The strongest image of the day wasn't one performer or one set. It was the way the festival moved as a whole: kids near the grounds, friends finding each other in the crowd, people dancing in the daylight, artists sharing the stage, and a community settling into the same rhythm.

Green River gives it room to breathe.
Green River Brewing & Taproom is part of the festival's identity. The outdoor setting on Putah Creek gives Reggae on the Creek something a conventional concert room cannot: space to wander, sit, eat, talk, bring family and still stay connected to the stage. That relaxed setting is a big part of why the event feels less like a corporate festival and more like a Northern California gathering that happens to have a serious reggae lineup.

The Creek keeps moving.
As daylight faded, the photographs changed with it. Stage light replaced the soft afternoon glow, the crowd tightened around the music and the festival shifted from a laid-back creekside afternoon into a full night show.

For OND, that's what made Reggae on the Creek worth documenting: not just the names on the poster, but the full shape of the day—the artists, the production, the venue and the community around all of it.
